My aims

My main aim is to travel round the coastline of the UK and Ireland over a period of four months, taking the time to explore the local scenery, history and culture. I have been to many places on the coast, particularly the Highlands, but always approaching from the land. I would like to visit them from the other direction.

I will use my engine as little as practicable and spend as few days as possible in marinas, sticking instead to moorings, harbour walls and wherever possible, anchorages.

I intend to supplement my food by catching and eating as much as possible from the sea.
