Hawkins - Forensic Investigators

Welcome to 'Snow Goose 2008', my project to sail round the United Kingdom and Ireland during the summer of 2008. Within this website you will find pages giving you details of why I am doing it and the charities that I am supporting. You can also keep track of my progress and learn a bit about how the boat works and the particular difficulties of single handed sailing. Many of the pages will be updated on a regular basis. For those contributing to the charities, there are a number of competitions in which you can use your skill, judgement and blind luck to win some exceptional prizes.

I am extremely grateful to Hawkins for giving me the time to attempt this journey, to Key Capital Partners for providing me with a new set of sails, without which I could not have begun. Thanks also to Continuity and Sigma for charts and essential safety equipment.

Thanks also to my parents, brother and sisters for teaching me to sail in the first place and for preparing me to cope with the wide Atlantic. Finally to my hugely supportive wife and children who have agreed that they can rub along without me for four months.
